AOTA20 Conference Preview

AOTA Conference session acceptances were recently announced, and many COTAD members will be in Boston next year sharing perspectives and knowledge about diversity, culturally informed practice, and other topics. See below for a sampling of short courses, workshop, pre-conference institutes, and posters to look out for in the spring!

  • Holistic admissions for occupational therapy programs

  • Infant Toddler Activity Card Sort to support parent engagement

  • COTAD-led Pre-conference Institute

  • Ongoing development of the Minority Mentorship Program

  • Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in OT academic programs

  • Addressing pediatric health disparities

In addition to these exciting sessions, we will be hosting our 6th Annual COTAD Breakfast at the MGH Institute of Health Professions with keynote speaker Dr. Varleisha Gibbs as well as the yearly COTAD-ED dinner and discussion.

We are also planning a special event for #AOTA20 - stay tuned for details on the 2020 COTAD Community Project in Boston! This will be an amazing opportunity to meet COTAD members, serve the local community, and connect with OT students and practitioners who are committed to promoting diversity.
