COTAD Vice Chair Earns Award for Work on OT Centennial Rose Parade Float

COTAD is proud to celebrate one of our own for being recognized during the Occupational Therapy Association of California’s (OTAC) 2017 Conference. COTAD Vice Chair Dr. Arameh Anvarizadeh, OTD, OTR/L was awarded the first-ever OTAC Vision Award for her work alongside fellow occupational therapy practitioners to develop the OT Centennial Rose Parade Float.

Dr. Anvarizadeh had this to say about her achievement: “Earning the first Occupational Therapy Association of California’s (OTAC) Vision Award was such an honor and privilege. I earned it along with six other colleagues for our collaboration and contribution to the Centennial Float. Being part of this committee for over four years and seeing an idea come into fruition that spreads occupational therapy’s visibility worldwide was a powerful moment. Being a bold change agent for our profession and inspiring others to do the same is in line with my role in COTAD. Diversity is beautiful and showcasing it during the Rose Parade on our Centennial Float will forever be documented in our occupational therapy history.”

Congratulations, Dr. Anvarizadeh!
